One of the area’s most cherished traditions, Memories of Christmas Past at the Arms Family Museum, returns from Nov. 15 through Dec. 31. The exhibit invites visitors to step back in time and experience the nostalgia and magic of holidays gone by, complete with the warm glow and timeless charm that make it a must-see seasonal favorite.

Guests can browse handcrafted gifts from local artisans, enjoy live seasonal music and sample festive treats while surrounded by the rustic beauty of the Mill. On Dec. 13 and 14, visitors can return for a special nighttime experience to see the Mill illuminated and beautifully adorned in holiday style, a scene straight out of a Christmas card.

Another beloved Mahoning County tradition, Frost & Lights: A Festive Holiday at the Gardens, transforms Fellows Riverside Gardens into a sparkling celebration for all ages. From Dec. 7 through Jan. 4 (closed Mondays), the Festival of Trees brightens the Visitor Center with dozens of creatively decorated live trees. On Dec. 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28, Winter Nights invites guests to stroll through the outdoor gardens from 5 to 7 p.m., where twinkling lights, glowing displays and visits from beloved holiday characters create a truly magical atmosphere. During Festive Finds Weekend on Dec. 13 and 14, visitors can shop for handcrafted gifts and unique treasures from local artisans, perfect for thoughtful holiday giving.

This special holiday concert blends big band favorites with classic holiday melodies, filling the grand auditorium with music that captures the spirit and joy of the season.

Those who prefer to spend their holidays outdoors will find endless beauty and serenity throughout Mill Creek MetroParks. From peaceful winter walks along snow-covered trails to sledding, skating or simply admiring the tranquil landscapes, the park offers countless ways to connect with nature during the colder months. Fellows Riverside Gardens remains a stunning winter backdrop, whether you’re taking in the frosty scenery or enjoying a quiet moment among the evergreens.
