Situated in the heart of Finger Lakes “Snow Country,” an area that consistently wins the crown in New York’s annual “Snowball” snowfall competition, Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Cortland, New York, has long been a cool destination for adventurers. In addition to 32 trails, 6 aerial lifts, night skiing and a full-service Nordic Center, the family-operated resort offers a lively schedule of activities both on and off the slopes.

Now, visitors can spend a day on the mountain, then relax at the new Hope Lake Lodge, one of only three on-site ski resort lodges in the U.S. with an indoor water playground.

At Cascades Indoor Waterpark, you can ride the waves in a 67,000-gallon whitewater pool, shoot the rapids on a wild three-story tube slide and earn bragging rights as you brave the elements at an indoor/outdoor pool that’s open year-round.
Traveling with toddlers? Head straight to Little Bear Falls — a sized-to-fit water play area that’s just right for little ones.
Waterpark admission is a perk available only to guests of Hope Lake Lodge, a Northwoods-themed resort offering 106 luxurious family-friendly condos, three dining options and Waterfalls Spa, a serene space featuring kid-friendly treatment packages like “Mommy and Me” and “Teen Queen Bee.”

From 6 to 8 p.m. nightly, supervised children’s programs offer fun-filled activities like scavenger hunts and make-your-own sundae sessions, while parents looking for a mid-day break can book a babysitter through the resort’s activities center, then set off on a scenic hike through Tuller Hill State Forest
