Hamilton County Stay and Play
Spring/Summer 2009
In the Swing
How good is the golf in Hamilton County, Indiana? Better than good — course standards are high enough to attract the Senior Open this year and a PGA Tour event, the BMW Championship, in 2012. Although both events are at a private course, Crooked Stick Golf Club, the level of play is exceptional for all of the premier public and private courses in this golfers’ heaven just north of Indianapolis.

“Because of all of the great golf courses in the area, we go above and beyond to give our guests the country club treatment, as we want them to come back,” said Mark Wisman, a golf professional at Bear Slide Golf Course. With public courses like Bear Slide offering experiences at a private club level or better, you can enjoy great golf and the amenities that make travel so enjoyable — attentive service at comfortable accommodations with a wide range of dining options nearby.

Special “Stay and Play” packages give golfers multiple choices for courses, tee times, and accommodations — all with one call. Eight premier courses participate, and you can choose your dates with regular rates applying May–September and “Super Saver” rates October–April. After choosing the hotel of your choice from the extensive list on the Web site, just call to book your package. Ask for the golf director to help you plan for your twosome or foursome. Then it is just a matter of choosing your clubs and enjoying a round, or two or three.
