While in town, don’t miss a one-hour show at the Joybell Theater, the world’s only handbell theater. Then head over to the nearby family-owned For Bare Feet sock factory for a factory tour and an overwhelming supply of novelty, university and sports-team socks.
Brown County is a great place to plan your getaway around a theme, with its many tearooms, wineries and art retreats. But if the outdoors is your preference, Brown County State Park is the perfect destination, and it offers a wide choice of cabins, inns and bed-and-breakfast accommodations. Hike or bike the wooded trails, horseback ride through the hills or canoe on the park’s streams and rivers. When evening arrives, head back to town for dinner at the Casa del Sol Mexican restaurant.
